Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about GetMaxTV's IPTV service — setup, channels, pricing, devices, and troubleshooting.
General Questions
What is IPTV and how does it work?
IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) delivers TV channels and video content over your internet connection instead of through cable wires or satellite dishes. When you select a channel, your IPTV app connects to our servers and streams the video in real time to your device — similar to how Netflix or YouTube works, but with live TV channels.
GetMaxTV provides 19,000+ live channels and 80,000+ movies and series, all accessible through a simple app on your TV, phone, tablet, or computer. Learn more in our IPTV Streaming Guide.
Is IPTV legal?
IPTV technology itself is completely legal — it's simply a method of delivering television content over the internet. Many legitimate services use IPTV technology, including major providers. The legality depends on the content being delivered and the licensing agreements in place. We recommend reviewing our Best IPTV Service guide for more information on choosing a reputable provider.
How is GetMaxTV different from cable TV?
GetMaxTV delivers the same channels you'd get from cable — plus thousands more — at a fraction of the cost. Key differences: no contracts (cancel anytime), no hardware rental fees, no installation appointments, works on any device you already own, includes international channels and PPV events at no extra charge, and supports up to 4 simultaneous streams. See the full breakdown in our IPTV vs Cable comparison.
Setup & Devices
What devices are compatible with GetMaxTV?
GetMaxTV works on virtually any internet-connected device: Amazon Firestick/Fire TV, Android TV and Google TV, Nvidia Shield, Samsung/LG/Sony Smart TVs, iPhones and iPads, Android phones and tablets, Windows and Mac computers, and MAG boxes. For the best experience, we recommend the Amazon Firestick 4K Max or Nvidia Shield TV Pro.
How do I set up IPTV on my device?
Setup takes about 2 minutes. After subscribing, you'll receive login credentials via email. Download a compatible IPTV app (we recommend TiviMate for Firestick/Android TV or IPTV Smarters Pro for other devices), enter your credentials, and you're streaming. We have step-by-step guides for every device in our IPTV Setup Guide.
Which IPTV app should I use?
It depends on your device. For Amazon Firestick and Android TV, TiviMate is the gold standard — it has the best EPG (program guide), the smoothest interface, and excellent performance. For iPhones/iPads, IPTV Smarters Pro works best. For Samsung/LG Smart TVs, Smart IPTV or IPTV Smarters are recommended. See our TiviMate Setup Guide for detailed instructions.
Can I use IPTV on multiple devices at the same time?
Yes. Every GetMaxTV subscription supports up to 4 simultaneous connections. You can watch a football game on your living room TV, a movie on your bedroom TV, and a different channel on your phone — all at the same time on one account.
Channels & Content
How many channels does GetMaxTV have?
GetMaxTV offers 19,000+ live TV channels from the US, UK, Canada, and 50+ other countries. This includes all major US networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox), premium channels (HBO, Showtime, Starz), sports networks (ESPN, Fox Sports, NFL Network, NBA TV), news channels, kids channels, and international content. Browse the full list in our Channel Guide.
Do you have sports channels and PPV events?
Yes — sports are one of our strongest categories. We carry 200+ sports channels including ESPN, Fox Sports, NBC Sports, CBS Sports, NFL Network, NBA TV, MLB Network, NHL Network, and all regional sports networks (RSNs). PPV events — UFC fights, boxing matches, WWE events — are included in your subscription at no extra charge. See our Sports Streaming Guide for details.
Do you offer movies and TV series on demand?
Yes. In addition to live channels, GetMaxTV includes a library of 80,000+ movies and TV series available on demand. The library is updated regularly with new releases and includes content in multiple languages. You'll find it in the VOD (Video on Demand) section of your IPTV app.
What picture quality do you offer?
Most channels stream in HD (720p) or Full HD (1080p). Select premium channels and events are available in 4K Ultra HD. The quality you receive depends on your internet speed — we recommend at least 10 Mbps for HD and 25 Mbps for 4K. For optimization tips, see our 4K IPTV Streaming Guide.
Pricing & Billing
How much does GetMaxTV cost?
GetMaxTV offers four plans: 3-month ($10.42/mo), 6-month ($8.33/mo), 12-month ($7.46/mo — most popular), and 24-month ($6.95/mo). All plans include the same 19,000+ channels, 80,000+ VOD titles, 4K streaming, and up to 4 connections. The only difference is the billing period. Visit our Pricing Page for current offers.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — we offer a free 24-hour trial so you can test the full service before committing. The trial includes all channels, VOD content, and features. No credit card is required to start your trial.
Can I cancel anytime?
There are no contracts and no cancellation fees. Your subscription simply expires at the end of your billing period. If you're not satisfied, we also offer a money-back guarantee within the first 7 days of your subscription.
Troubleshooting
Why is my IPTV buffering?
Buffering is almost always caused by your internet connection — either the speed is too low or the connection is unstable. Quick fixes: switch from Wi-Fi to a wired Ethernet connection, restart your router, close other bandwidth-heavy apps, and clear your IPTV app's cache. For a complete troubleshooting walkthrough, see our 7 Proven Buffering Fixes.
What internet speed do I need?
Minimum 10 Mbps for HD streaming, 25 Mbps for 4K. For multiple simultaneous streams, add 10 Mbps per additional HD stream. We strongly recommend a wired Ethernet connection rather than Wi-Fi for the most stable experience, especially for live sports and 4K content.
A channel isn't working — what should I do?
First, try restarting your IPTV app and switching to the channel again. If it still doesn't work, try a different stream of the same channel (many channels have multiple streams listed). If the issue persists, contact our 24/7 support team via WhatsApp or email — we typically resolve channel issues within minutes.
How do I contact support?
Our support team is available 24/7 via WhatsApp, email, and live chat. Average response time is under 5 minutes. Whether you need help with setup, troubleshooting, or account questions, we're here to help. Visit our Contact Page for all support options.
